Keep IAMValley Clear of Spam!

Everyone with an e-mail address has gotten them–unsolicited messages from people who use up bandwidth to send a flurry of advertisements. While we don’t mind members offering sincere suggestions of products and services to other members, we don’t tolerate quantities of messages sent by people who stand to earn money from the promotion of such products and services.

IAMValley provides proper channels for members to promote their products and services such as the IAM Barter Exchange Program™. We do not believe that discussion groups, chat rooms and other forums outside these channels should be used for promotional purposes. Such forums need to be clear of such blatant advertising to foster a real sense of camaraderie without the suspicion of commercial motives.

In the IAMValley Terms of Service Agreement, you agree NOT to use our site or services to send spam to members or other recipients. If you send spam, we will be forced to delete your membership as well as any category, forum or discussion group created for the promotion of your services or products. Our Terms of Service Agreement also prohibit:

Chain letters
Pyramid Schemes
"Get Rich Quick" or "Make Money Fast" (MMF) schemes
Using or promoting software designed to harvest e-mail addresses

Our No-Spam policy is not limited to the above examples.

While we cannot guarantee that you will not be spammed, we will take certain anti-spam measures to protect our members:

Your e-mail address will not appear unless on the site without your consent.
IAMValley will remove users who generate spam.
Members can report spam to editor@iamvalley.com.
IAM Guides will supervise the different categories to limit spamming.

If you have been spammed, please contact us at editor@iamvalley.com. Please forward the message (along with the e-mail address) to us to assist us in taking appropriate action. If you have any other questions, please address them to editor@iamvalley.com.
